Except the Sainte Chapelle in Paris, the cathedral of Bourges and Gaudi's Sagrada Famila in Barcelona, but the latest is really something else...


Hey, you know what, it's been a few months since I wrote the line above and I just came upon an article making the paralel between the cathedral of Chartres and Gaudi' Sagrada Famila ! It appears Gaudi was in fact inspired by Chartres' intention of sybolizing Heavenly Jerusalem to build his church; it's just that he wanted to use his own style and modern materials.


But of course!
