Paris(but not only)  Personal Tours

I bet some of you don't really know the difference between Monaco and Monte-Carlo. To call a spade a spade (which happens to be one of my specialties), Monaco is the abbreviation of "Principality of Monaco" which is a sovereign city-state (like the Vatican or Singapore) with a total area of 0.78 square mile (second smallest state in the world after the Vatican), of which "Monte-Carlo" is only the most famous of its 9 districts, the one where the casino is located. I personally prefer to call the place "Monte-Carlo" rather than "Monaco", just because it sounds better (Monte-Carlo has a "Mona Lisa" kind-of twist, don't you think?).

Now, we all know what Monaco is famous for: money! But what is there in Monte-Carlo that you couldn't find at some other place and which is worth doing? Not much if you ask me. And don't you expect the locals to welcome you with open arms...

if watching a patrol of 7 men in uniforms carrying guns performing a small military march is your thing...

...but I won't encourage it. Because I may have better options. Just saying. Your call. As always.

But you should enjoy taking a little stroll in the old town:

Depending on the time you have and your motivations, we can decide to spend a half day or the full day on location.

Whatever you choose, I will make sure you can say the usual "been there, done that" at the end of the day!

And you'll want to see the casino (we could have lunch just in front at the "Café de Paris")

and the Opera house next door (both buildings built by Charles Garnier!)

If you wanted, we could visit the Oceanographic Museum (I love aquariums anyway. And yes there is a "shark tunnel"):

And we could then immerse ourselves inside the lush vegetation of the exotic garden:

Of course I can bring you see the changing of the guards in front of the Prince's palace:

Monaco or Monte-Carlo?
