Paris(but not only)  Personal Tours

Would you believe the Verdon river got its name from the color of its water?

(maybe you need to know that "vert" in French is the word for "green").

Now, if you like that kind of scenery and you're looking for more action,

on our way to the South or on our way back, we could go the Ardeche Canyon.

The Verdon Gorge is a 15-mile-long and 2300-feet-deep river canyon located only 50 miles (2 hours drive) North of Saint-Raphaël. It's generally considered to be the most beautiful canyon in Europe (no less). We could go there just for the day if we leave early and come back late (not a problem) but it's better not to go in July or August because it's too crowded. In one day, we can drive along the rim of it for 2 to 3 hours (beautiful picture spots), visit a charming village and rent a canoe or a pedal boat (pedalo) or an electric boat for a couple hours.
