Paris(but not only)  Personal Tours

Some of you may have in mind (and you should) the terrorist attack which happened in Nice on 14th of July 2016 where a brainwashed guy drove a 19-ton-truck at full speed on the packed sidewalk of the Promenade des Anglais killing 84 people. May they all (except the suicide-driver) rest in peace and please feel free to read my "About your safety" page but, after this sad and tragic incident, as my main concern on this page is to reassure you, I feel the urge to tell you 3 things:

1) This kind of attack could have happened anywhere (it did in fact happen again 4 months later in the US as a guy jumped a curb and rammed a car into a group of pedestrians at Ohio State University...) but the authorities everywhere in France are now on their guards and have put big blocks of cement wherever necessary to prevent that from happening again.

2) In any case, I would never bring you to an overcrowded place where you have to stand up for hours to watch 10 mn of fireworks (or anything else) because that's not my idea of having fun.

3) My idea of how to watch fireworks on a 14th of July is while having a big seafood platter at my favorite restaurant in Saint-Raphael (just round the corner) where I can be seated and watch the show while I gulp down (quite) a few oysters.

And FYI, they have big fireworks at Saint-Raphael (and almost everywhere in France) on the 14th of July (or the day before) and on the 15th of August. Otherwise, at Frejus (the town next door) they have fireworks every fortnight during the summer!

Sad flash-back ...
